Temporary Residence Permit for Non-EU

For the Non-EU nationals, Cyprus offers a Temporary Residence Permit. The main function of this document is a prolongation of their stay on the period more than three months. It means that with this document, an individual can proceed his indwelling on the Cyprus territory even after his initial visa expired. It should be taken into account, that the visitor should apply for the Temporary Residence permit before the expiration of the initial Visa. 

The period of the consideration consists from 3 to 6 months. Despite this fact, an andividual can stay on the Cyprus territory after the submission of the Pink Slip application.

 Scope 

For Non-EU residents (Third-country nationals). It allows legally reside on Cyprus territory more than three months. 

Term of consideration of the application 

From 3 to 6 months 

 

Requirements 

  • Montly income – €24,000 per year (or €2,000 per month) for one person. This amount increases by 20% for the spouse and 15% for each child 
  • Proof of a residence in Cyprus (rented or owned) 
  • Bank Account in Cyprus (A cash transfer or deposit of at least €10,000 is also accepted during the first permit) 
  • Private health insurance
Documents 
  • Passport copy; 
  • Marriage Certificate duly certified and translated *(If applicable); 
  • Children’s Birth Certificates duly certified and translated *(If applicable); 
  • School enrolment confirmation for children; 
  • Rental agreement or sale agreement of a house/apartment; 
  • Original Clear Criminal Record Certificate from the country of origin or residence; 
  • Medical exams; 
  • Documents to prove income from abroad; 
  • Income includes salary, pension, deposits in a bank account abroad, rents, dividends, interest on deposits, etc.; 
  • Bank statement & proof of transfer from abroad; 
  • Bank guarantee; 
  • Health insurance. 
 Family members 
  • Spouse; 
  • children under 18 years old; 
  • children over 18 years of age and parents who are fully supported by the applicant. 

 Validation 

Upon first application, the pink slip might be issued for a period of 1 to 2 years.  
  Restrictions 
  • No right to work in Cyprus; 
  • Cannot stay out of Cyprus for more than three months continuously as the permit would be cancelled automatically; 
  • Is granted only to non-EU Nationals who wish to extend their stay in Cyprus.
